Florian Krewer (born in Gerolstein, Germany in 1986) studied painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
Krewer explores the life and impulses of youth in the face of the harshness of the world they live in: pure vital energy, aggression, and love. Avoiding a one-dimensional interpretation, the urban figures in his paintings seem to escape these situations through a kind of levitation and a dynamic placement of the characters on the canvas where, at times, the presence of animals suggests an analogy between humankind and its original state.

The artist was a recent recipient of the Prix Jean-François Prat awarded by the Bredin Prat Foundation in 2022.
His works are included in the Collection Francois Pinault and Bredin Prat Foundation.
